Hello Everyone,

There are many visually impaired Smart Phone users who wish to access the Holy Bible on their wireless handset.  Believe it or not, at the time of this post, I was unable to locate a free, downloadable, self contained, relatively modern, access technology compatible, and, most importantly, verse searchable version of the Good Book.

Don’t worry, be happy; for as I pondered this canonic conundrum the answer, in words of wisdom, came to me.

At E Bible.com, I located a completely accessible version of the Holy Bible in both Plain Text and Rich Text format.

Smart Phone Users, both sighted and non sighted alike, follow these steps to begin enjoying the World English bible on your mobile Gadget:

1.
I strongly recommend that, before you begin, you create a Bible folder on your desktop/laptop computer.  If you are going to download both formats, then you should create two folders, one for each file format.

2.
At the bottom of this page, click the download link.  It will take you to the Candle Shore BLOG Bible Download Page.

3.
On the Candle Shore BLOG Bible Download Page, select the file format you wish to obtain.  I suggest that you download both file formats in order to discover which of them you prefer.  Please note that each file format of the Bible will be saved on your computer in one Zip file, each.

4.
After selecting the file format, a button window will appear.  Choose the Save rather than the Open button in this window.

5.
In the Save dialog box, select a folder, such as the one you just created, in which to save the file.  DSL/Cable MODEM subscribers, please note that the file download time will take less than one minute per file.

6.
After the file has been successfully downloaded to your PC, close your browser.

7.
Locate the folder containing the file and unzip/extract its contents.  Please note that there are approximately 78 files inside the Zip file.  These sub filenames correspond to books in the Holy Bible.  Note that once this is done, you can open any of these files in a text editor or word processor on your PC.  Please note that Rich Text formatted documents may only be opened in a word processor.

8.
Attach your mobile phone.

9.
Copy the Bible folder to either the phone’s main memory or storage card, if available.

10.
Launch your mobile phone’s text editor or word processor and enjoy your new Bible Belt.  (Smile)
