Hello Everyone,

The following is the general procedure for deleting text messages from your Windows Mobile Smart Phone:

NOTE 1:
The following instructions assume that you wish to delete more than one text message at a time from any folder.

1.
From the Start Menu, select Messaging.

2.
Open the Text Message account.  You will be placed into the folder from which you last exited messaging.  That is, if focus was on the Draft folder when you previously closed the messaging account, then you will be placed back into the Draft folder upon reopening the application.

NOTE 2:
To switch between text message folders, tap the Right Soft Key to display the shortcut menu and select Folders.

3.
To delete all of the messages in a folder, from the shortcut menu, select Delete All.  Confirm your selection by answering “Yes” to the confirmation prompt (One tap of the Left Soft Key).

NOTE 3:
Deleting messages from a folder does not delete them from the text message account but merely moves these messages to the Deleted Folder.

4.
To permanently purge deleted messages from the text message account, in any folder, from the shortcut menu, select Tools.  Finally, select Empty Deleted Items.  Confirm your selection by answering “Yes” to the confirmation prompt (One tap of the Left Soft Key).

Good Luck,

Mark
