Question:
With wm6.1 when I am in a text message and I have a fairly long stream going is there a way to get to the bottom or last reply quickly?

Answer:
Although this has not been officially sanctioned by Code Factory, to skip to the bottom of a long SMS thread, as MSS begins reading the thread from top to bottom, repeatedly tap the down arrow key to quickly jump through the thread.  Alternatively, once you tap the down arrow key once, you may hold the key down and, depending upon your profile settings, a beep will indicate when you have reached the end of the thread.

Question:
With wm6.0 I was able to read word by word when using the home key then pressing the right or left arrow but it doesn’t seem to work with wm6.1.  Do u know how I fix this?

Answer:
At the time of this reply, when composing SMS messages in the new Windows Mobile 6.1 conversation mode, the Mobile Speak Smartphone v2.178 Public Beta Advanced Reading commands are split between both the Advanced Reading Keyboard Layout mode and the Default Keyboard Layout mode.  Consequently, all but two of the Advanced Reading commands are mistakenly assigned to the Default Keyboard Layout mode.  They are the Read Next Word command (Home+Right Arrow) and the Read Previous Word command (Home+Left Arrow).

Therefore, when you wish to read by word, you must first switch to the Default Keyboard Layout mode in order to do so.

Question:
I have T9 prediction on but mss is not speaking a work as I am typing in a text message.  Do you know why?

Answer:
This appears to be a bug in MSS as when Mobile Speak is active, enabling T9 input mode does absolutely nothing.  The reason MSS is not speaking word choices is because they are not being displayed on the screen.
