Hello Everyone,

In an era in which I.D. theft and credit card spoofing is a reality, it is nice to know that several major credit card companies such as CapitalOne Inc. are now offering free text messaging (SMS) and email alerts to customers whenever a transaction is posted to their credit card account.  There is even an option to allow alerts to be sent when credit transactions occur outside of the customer’s home country.

NOTE:
Your wireless provider’s standard text messaging rates apply.

Your account has something important to tell you.  Ever spend precious time trying to determine your account balance, if a deposit has been made yet or a certain check has been posted against your account? There’s an easier way to watch over your account.

Capital One free alerts keep you informed by e-mail, text message or phone about account activity you have selected. Plus, automatic security alerts help protect your account information.

To begin receiving alerts for your CapitalOne MasterCard, Visa, or any number of other types of accounts:

1.
Point your web browser to:
https://onlinebanking.capitalone.com/capitalone

2.
Log in (or enroll) to Online Banking

3.
Click on the Messages & Alerts menu option

4.
Choose Set Alerts and the account you wish to establish alerts

5.
Update your alert preferences and click Update Alerts

Enjoy,

Mark
