Hello My Fellow Pocket PC and Smartphone Partners,

You know, lately, I’ve been setting a lot of Calendar and Task Reminders on my Windows Mobile devices.  Equally lately, I have begun to realize how annoying they can be if I don’t acknowledge them immediately.  In fact, the default Snooze setting for Windows Mobile Reminders is 2 minutes.  So, unless I stop what I’m doing and acknowledge the Reminder, it will continue to alert me of the Appointment or Task every two minutes for the rest of my natural ever-lovin’ life.

Enough!

The following Windows Mobile Registry tweak will allow you to either modify the Windows Mobile Reminder Snooze interval or completely disable the feature.

1.
From within your preferred Windows Mobile Registry editor, browse to:

HKCU\ControlPanel\Notifications\Reminders\AutoSnoo ze\

2.
Change the AutoSnoozeMins Key to any integer value from 0 to 60 where 0 = Disabled.

Peace at last, peace at last; thank God Almighty, peace at last!

(Smile)

Mark
