Tired of having to type out those text messages word by word? Why not use the “My Text†feature now available on Windows Mobile Smart Phones.
1.
From the Today or Home screen of your Smart Phone, select Contacts. This is generally done by pressing the [Right Soft Key].

Select the Contact entry to whom you wish to send a Text Message, by pressing the [Enter] key when the intended Contact is highlighted. This will open the Contact’s Dialog box.Â

Select the Contact’s telephone number to which you will send the Text Message by merely highlighting it.

Press the [Right Soft Key] to display a list of options.

From the Options list, select “Send Text Message†and press the [Enter] Key. A Text Message edit box will appear with the Contact you selected in the “To†field.Â

With the Insertion point in the body of the Text Message edit box, press the [Right Soft Key] to display a list of options.Â

Select “My Text†and press the [Enter] key. The resulting Dialog box displays a list of short phrases from which you can choose to insert into the body of your Text Message.Â

Use your navigation keys to scroll through the list. Pressing the [Left Soft Key] will insert the highlighted phrase while pressing the [Right Soft Key] will display a list of options.

If you press the [Right Soft Key] mentioned in the step above, you will be given two options which are “Edit My Text†and “Cancel.â€Â

Select “Edit My Text†if you wish to change any of the default phrases. Please note that as of this article, it is not possible to add additional phrases to the list. You may only modify the existing list. To modify an existing entry, simply select it, make the desired changes, and then press the [Left Soft Key] to save your changes.
