To get started, do the following:

From a standard resolution computer go to:
Zamzar.com, a free file-conversion site that has a Download Videos tab for this very purpose.

2.
Enter the address for the YouTube video you wish to download.

3.
Select the file format in which you wish to have the video converted.

4.
Enter your email address

5.
Click Convert.  Once the file has been successfully converted, Zamzar will e-mail you a link to download the converted file.

NOTE 2:
You have 24 hours in which to download the file before it is erased.
