Hello My Fellow Wacky Windows Wind-Jammers,
One exciting aspect of modern-day computing is the ability to run a second, third, fourth, fifth, etc instance of an entire operating system, complete with all of its characteristics, inside a primary operating system.Â
Why would any self-respecting peace loving chicken-frying, cotton-pickin’ purple people-eater ever want to do this?Â
Well, boys and girls, wouldn’t it be nice to have more than one kitchen in your house or more than one living room that would not take up any more physical space than if you only had one? In such a world, you could have one kitchen designed to be kid-friendly and another could be adorned with fine old-world, hard-to-find, beautifully crafted furniture and appliances. The same could be done with multiple living rooms, right? And remember, the best part is that you could fit all of these “virtual†rooms in the same physical space as if you only had one of each. All you’d have to do to enter these “virtual†rooms would be to simply flip a “virtual†switch.
Ah! I see you smiling. Now you get it.
OK, back to our story:
Microsoft has just released a public beta of its virtual platform that is most exciting.Â
