Hello Everyone,
Here is a little tidbit that may save you some typing time when next you surf the Internet using Safari on your iPhone 3GS:Â
Many websites have addresses that begin with “http://www.†and end with “.com/â€. Apple, in its infinite wisdom, built this fact into the iPhone 3GS version of Safari, allowing it to use this otherwise unremarkable detail to save you a ton of tap-time typing.
How?
I’m so glad you asked. (Smile)Â
If you type a single string of text (without any punctuation marks) into the Safari Address Bar, such as “candleshoreblogâ€, and then tap the [GO] Button located in the lower right corner of the virtual QWERTY keyboard, Safari will automatically insert “http://www.†In front of the string you just entered and add “.com/†to the end. Thus, “candleshoreblog” becomes “http://www.candleshoreblog.com”.
How Sweet It Is!Â
