QUESTION
Hello,

Do you know of a dictionary for Windows Mobile that’s accessible with MSP?

ANSWER
Hello Julie,

There are several articles on my BLOG that list free online mobile friendly spellchecker, thesaurus, language translation, and dictionary resources that  work well with Code Factory’s Mobile Speak software, for the blind and low vision.  Of course, this means that you must have either a WiFi connection or an unlimited wireless data plan on your mobile phone.

You may Click Here to view one such article entitled “Look It Up” or you can go directly to The Mark Taylor Candle Shore BLOG and simply type in the word dictionary in the BLOG’s search field.

As for a free Mobile Speak compatible stand-alone dictionary application that can be installed on your wireless device, I cannot recommend any free programs at this time as I have not tested any with Code Factory software.

As for premium software, an MSP user reports that the SlovoEd dictionary works very well with Mobile Speak for Pocket PCs.  Please know that as of this posting, I have not used the SlovoEd dictionary on my Windows Pocket PC, the Samsung Epix.  Also, I cannot confirm that this software is compatible with Windows Mobile Standard Edition Smartphones.
