PodCasts | Comments Off on EP: Audio of President George W Bush Final Press Conference, January 12, 2009 | January 13th, 2009
Hello Everyone,Â
Speaking completely as an independent centrist, it is my privilege to publish the final press conference of the 43rd president of the United States of America, Mr. George W. Bush, as an approximately 47 minute Candle Shore podcast.Â
No matter your political philosophy or socioeconomic standing and regardless of how history will tell the tale of his eight-year controversial tenure as our commander in chief, listen to his words and get a rare glimpse into the mind of the man who, for better or worse, carried the weight of the western world on his sometimes daring, other times damning, but always dedicated shoulders.Â
Thank you for your service to our country, President Bush and know that, regardless of the trials and tribulations of our time, I am most proud to be a United States citizen.
Enjoy,
Mark Taylor

Wireless Phones | Comments Off on Where You From, You Foxy News Thing? | January 12th, 2009
Hello Everyone,
To those of you who follow this BLOG regularly, it should be clear, by now, that I am truly a news junky. No matter how positive or how negative the news, I simply love being “in the knowâ€.Â
I prefer to have news pushed to me as opposed to having to go and search for it. Oh, and I want it all for free!!! Think I’m asking too much? Read the rest of this entry »

Wireless Phones | Comments Off on Grocery List! Grocery List! Read All About It! | January 9th, 2009
Hello Boys and Girls,
Happy Friday to everyone in the Blogosphere! I guess it’s true what they say, sometimes, the best is saved for last; that is, the last day of the first workweek in the year of our Lord, two thousand and nine. (You know, I’ve always wanted to state the number of the year in this way. (Smile))
I don’t know about you but often I make a mental list of things I need to purchase the next time I go to the grocery store. When I was younger, it seemed as though I could retrieve this biochemical checklist effortlessly. Well, my dear friends, those days are long gone and now I am elated if I remember that I even have to go to the grocery store, at all. (Smile) What a different a few decades can make, eh? Read the rest of this entry »

General | Comments Off on California, This Bill’s For You | January 6th, 2009
Hello Fellow Californians.
As we all know, California is in the midst of a financial meltdown. Be that as it may, as of January 1, 2009, over 700 new laws took effect for the golden state, which I call home.Â
Earlier today I tried to find a comprehensive list of these new laws only to discover that, apparently, my grasp exceeded my reach. That is, all I could find were either partial lists, ripe with commentary, or articles featuring only the most publicized statutes. While I do enjoy reading editorial comments, from time-to-time, I prefer to make up my own mind after reviewing original material; in this case, signed legislative bills. Read the rest of this entry »

Wireless Phones | Comments Off on For The Ultimate In US Lottery Results and More, TextVox The Spot | January 6th, 2009
OK! OK! I promise, this will be my last post on how to have lottery results sent directly to your mobile phone. (Sly Grin)
I am posting, what is now the third article discussing US lottery results, not because I am a high-rolling habitual gambler, a laughable lifelong lottery freak, a nunchucked nitwitted numbers cruncher, or a spiritual shadow-seeking SMS Sherpa but because up until now, the free lottery resources I discussed previously, required one to request the winning numbers rather than having them sent automatically to a mobile phone or wireless device.  Read the rest of this entry »
Hello Everyone,
As you can probably tell from my recent posts, I have been on an SMS/text messaging crusade. (Smile)
Why?
Well, to me, using SMS to search for information and to have information pushed to me via SMS is so much more convenient than using either the standard internet or its favorite cousin, the mobile web.
So, get ready to rock, roll, and rumble with some very sweet free SMS/text message resources that are sure to if not make your life a little better, then, will at least make you smile. Read the rest of this entry »

Wireless Phones | Comments Off on I LIKE IT WHEN YOU WIPE IT LIKE THAT: Tips For Deleting Your Mobile Phone Data | January 4th, 2009
Hello Everyone,Â
Personally, as a hopelessly obsessive-compulsive man, I am completely incapable of destroying, donating, recycling, or in any way removing any of my cell phones, Smartphones, wireless devices, PDAs, or Pocket PCs from my possession.Â
No doubt this is the result of some long ago repressed memory in which I willingly suffered at the hands of a beautiful spine-tingling long-haired silky-skin seductress in which she slowly and deliberately twisted out the tender tendrils of my timid trust and twined them around the tongs of my soul tearing out my heart and serving it to me on a plutonium-enriched platter.
(Hmmmmmm! But I digress.)
The following PC Magazine article, written by Sascha Segan, offers some great tips on how to successfully wipe all of the data from your mobile phone or wireless device before recycling or giving it away.Â
Enjoy,
Mark

Hello Everyone,
Do you leave your home before the break of dawn? Can’t tell if it’s going to rain today? Are you tired of having those horribly hellish nightmarish dreams of being caught in a torrential downpour that threatens the safety and security of your cell phone, new shoes, Netbook PC, breakfast burrito, newspaper, briefcase, hairdo, and your ever tenuous emotional stability? Read the rest of this entry »
