Hello Everyone,

As you may or may not know, on Wednesday, April 4, 2008, Amazon.com announced that it will now allow people to shop and order products, via text message, on a wireless phone.

I think this is ground breaking technology for both sighted and non sighted Smart Phone users, alike.

I am happy to provide the following information to you.

Enjoy,

I want you to know that you are always in my heart and in my thoughts and I miss you so terribly much.

And I wish we could spend more time together for when we are together, time has no meaning and life, no limits.

The connection, the bond that we have is worth more to me than the finest treasures of my wildest dreams for dreams cannot bring me what you give to me in every thought of you, hope, joy, and peace.

I cannot explain it and, to be honest, I do not want to tame it.  I only want to have it for the rest of my life.

I know how I feel about you and I trust how you feel about me.

Why?

Why, indeed; because the respect and grace you bestow upon me takes me to a higher level, takes me to a different plane of existence, takes me to where I thought I would never go and could never belong.

I truly wonder why God allowed you to fly to me at this point in my life for if we had met in the morning years, perhaps we could have flown together.

Would we have flown together?  Would your wings have touched mine?

Or were we always destined to share a distance, me a reflection of you and you, of me?

Do not harden at my questions for they are not meant to torment you but, rather, to convince you of my love.

For you are my angel and angels need to know.

Most Sincerely,

Mark Marcus

Hello Everyone,

I did not write the following piece, entitled “How To Silence A Room”, but I wish to salute the person who did.  I am most proud to be an American citizen.

Mark Marcus Taylor

HOW TO SILENCE A ROOM

1.
When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was  asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an  example of ’empire building’ by George Bush. He answered by saying,  “Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men  and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The  only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury  those that did not return.”

It became very quiet in the room.

2.
Then  there was a conference in France where a number of international  engineers  were taking part, including French and American. During a break one of the  French engineers came back into the room saying “Have you heard the latest  dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intend to do, bomb them?” A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: “Our carriers have three hospitals  on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have  three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 6,000 people three meals a day,  they can produce several thousand! gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in  transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck… We have eleven such ships; how many does France have?”

Once again,  dead silence.

3.
A   U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals from the U.S. , English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies. At a  cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of  Officers that included personnel from most of those countries. Everyone  was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a French  admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages,  Americans learn only English.’ He then asked, ‘Why is it that we always  have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?’  Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied ‘Maybe it’s because the  Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Americans arranged it so you wouldn’t have to speak German.

You could have heard a pin drop.
Always be proud to be an American.

Today I walked into an A T & T Wireless store with a friend of mine.  After several weeks of resisting temptation, I had finally given into my desire to purchase yet another wireless Bluetooth headset for use with my adored Samsung Black Jack II Smart Phone.  I say “yet another” because having it would make me the proud owner of seven such devices acquired over the past four years. Did you know that your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival?  Check out the following 5 things that you can do with it.

Please note that I have personally successfully tested 4 of the following 5 items and they do work, at least, with GSM phones in the United States.  I have not tested item number 3.

1.
Emergency

The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobiles is 112.  If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any
existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number
112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out. Read the rest of this entry »

You are so very welcome, Bryan.

(Big Smile)  Your words made my week.  Thank you.

It’s all about taking care of family.  All of us on this list have a common interest and, thus, a common goal.  As far as I am concerned, that makes us family.

My late grandmother taught me that all any of us have is our good name and our good word.  She taught me that when one says he/she is going to do something then she/he had better be willing to move heaven and earth in order to keep that promise, in order to keep that good word intact.  I grew up in Kentucky and we were extremely poor.  In our darkest hours my grandmother would tell all of us little kids that all a poor man has are his dreams and his good name.  She taught us to treasure these above all else for once they are gone they can never be replaced.  She once said to me, “No one can take your good name away from you; that is something that you must throw away.” Read the rest of this entry »
