Windows 7 | Comments Off on TIP: How To Disable or Enable The TouchPad of the Acer Aspire One NetBook With Windows 7 | April 12th, 2010
Hello Everyone,
I absolutely adore my Acer Aspire One NetBook running Windows 7 Ultimate. However, the Aspire One TouchPad can interpret a single tap as a mouse-click. So,, if you have large hands or are a sloppy typist, you might find yourself hitting the touchpad accidentally, resulting in unintended mouse-clicks. Simply disable the TouchPad to eliminate this problem.
If you’re using Windows 7, the only way to quickly Disable or Enable the Acer Aspire One TouchPad is to press and hold the Function (Fn) key and tap the F7 key on the NetBook’s keyboard, once. This hardware key combination is a toggle used to either Disable or Enable the TouchPad. The state of this toggle is saved for future Windows 7 sessions; that is, even after shutting down your NetBook, Windows 7 will remember whether the TouchPad was either Enabled or Disabled at the time of ShutDown and remember the setting.

I’ve often wondered about the possibility of doing that, though only in a very rudimentary sense. I’m not understanding the link to Verizon here, though. Since the networks are different, and your iPhone’s at&t. In any case, nice write-up, and I’m intrigued. WOW do I have a lot to learn (smile).

Hello My Fellow iPhone and iPod Touchers,
This week I am visiting San Diego to attend the annual CSUN technology convention.
As you may guess, I would never go anywhere without a reliable means of connecting to the Internet on one of my portable computers.
However, since my assimilation into the Apple Orchard, it is not enough to merely have broadband access on my computer but I now insist on having it (as WiFi) on my trusty iPhone 3GS for many reasons not the least of which being that I now, almost exclusively, use it for Skype on a daily basis.
