Just a heads-up that there is a phishing expedition to get into your iTunes account.

Today, I received an email from what appeared to be Apple, sent directly to one of my valid Apple iTunes email addresses, informing me that I needed to update my iTunes password.  The email went on to suggest that if I did not update my password within 24 hours, my iTunes account would be suspended due to suspicious activity.   Read the rest of this entry »

Failing to locate such a file, I decided to create one, myself.

What is an Apple ID?  An Apple ID is your user name for everything you do with Apple: Shop the iTunes Store, enable iCloud on all your devices, buy from the Apple Online Store, make a reservation at an Apple Retail Store, access the Apple Support website, and more.

Although I continue to be amazed at the ever increasing level of accessibility Apple Inc. affords its physically challenged customers, and although I use both my Macintosh computers and iOS devices more than any other, on a daily basis, when it comes to providing serious online data such as credit card information, billing and shipping addresses, answers to security questions, etc I prefer to use my good-old Windows PC with its ever-so-familiar screen magnifier and text-to-speech engine.   Read the rest of this entry »
