Dear X:

This will be my only reply to this thread, where you are concerned, for I will not get into a flaming email exchange with you or anyone else, for that matter.

It seems to me that no matter what I contribute, you find a way to put a negative spin on my efforts.

You wrote, with regard to my article entitled “Pod Catch Me on Your Mobile Phone”:
“Mark, This article would be more helpful if you include specific information related to how to use this with MSS/MSP.  Most anyone can go to a web site and read about podcasting or the product description.”

Maybe so, but not anyone did.  I did.  Not only did I do the research and verify the program’s Mobile Speak compatibility but I also formatted its manual so it would be more easily accessible for those using screen readers.

Did it ever occur to you to conduct research on the product yourself and provide the information, to the list, that you think I neglected to include?  After all, I am sure that one who is so eager to criticize should be equally as eager to contribute, no?

Perhaps my memory is not as good as I thought but when was the last time you took the time to not only research software compatibility for someone but also modify it’s manual for easier accessibility.

I write this not out of anger or frustration but, rather, as a result of my dismay at how some people know only how to criticize the path of someone having never bothered to take one single solitary step along that path, themselves.

As I said, your reply to this is not required nor requested as I refuse to wage a verbal war of words with you.

When it is all said and done, your opinion is as valid as my own and as such, I accept its validity.

As for me, I much prefer to have people respect my comments rather than merely accept them.

Know this, I will continue to do my best to contribute to the body of knowledge that has so enriched my life.  Perhaps, from time-to-time, even you will gleam some value in my work; but whether you do or do not, I wish you well and much success.

Most Sincerely,

Mark
