Compare prices from Amazon on your mobile phone or wireless device. 

The good people at TicTap, which started out as an SMS pricing service for products on Amazon, have recently revamped their service to offer price comparison information on the mobile web.  They stopped the SMS service a while ago.

In short, the TicTap mobile website allows users to look up products by name or UPC code, view prices, reviews, and recommendations before purchasing.

My favorite feature of TicTap is the free Price Alert service, which can help you take advantage of Amazon’s price drop policy.

In case you did not know, Amazon has a policy where if you buy a product from Amazon and see that their price has lowered within 3 days, Amazon will pay you the difference.  Not bad, eh? especially now that prices everywhere seem to keep going down.   Clearly, Amazon knows that the hard part of someone implementing this policy is to know when the price drops.

Using TicTap, you can be alerted via email when the price drops on Amazon. Very nice.
