CONTROL YOUR TIVO VIA TEXT MESSAGE

Kwiry, a free text messaging (SMS) service now lets you control your TiVo DVR from anywhere using simple text messages.

TiVo already offers more detailed DVR access via its Web site, as well as TiVo Mobile (for Smartphones with web browsers), but the Kwiry service should work with even the most rudimentary cell phones, so long as they have text messaging capability.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

1.
To get started, from your standard resolution computer go to kwiry.com or from your mobile phone, go to m.kwiry.com.

2.
Either create or login to your free Kwiry account.

3.
Link your TiVo Series2 or Series3 DVR to your Kwiry account, a one-time affair.

Once setup, you should be able to control DVR by texting the correct command to 59479 (KWIRY).
