Hello Everyone,

If you want to restore your Samsung Epix to the state it was when you purchased it, you can restore the factory settings by performing a hard reset. Samsung has provided two different methods for doing this: 

HARD RESET WIZARD

1.
Go to Start > Settings

2.
Select the System tab at the bottom.

3.
Launch the “Hard Reset” program.

4.
Press the “Hard Reset” button.

5.
Select the memory type to clear (generally you will only select “Device”).

6.
Enter the confirmation code in the text field (either 4 or 6 0s) and press “Yes”.  Your Samsung Epix will perform a Hard Reset and reboot.

MANUAL HARD RESET

1.
Remove your SIM card before performing a Manual Hard Reset to prevent loss of SIM-specific information.

2.
Make sure your Samsung Epix is powered off.

3.
Press and hold the H key.

4.
Press the Power On key until the device starts to boot up (red light will flash).  Immediately release the power key while continuing to press the H key.

5.
Wait for the Format Mode screen to appear.

6.
Release the H key and follow the on-screen instructions.
