SCENARIO:
Best selling Novelist, poet, playwright, mountain climber, deep sea diver, big game hunter, curator, sherpa, business tycoon, singer, songwriter, seamstress, wordsmith, philanthropist, bacon connoisseur, master magician, snack-time technology taste-tester, award winning chocolatier, baker, professional card-counter, theologian, exorcist, cellist, the Fifth Beatle, and Nobel laureate Mark Marcus sits in the window of his favorite Dairy Queen restaurant enjoying a large watermelon-flavored Arctic Rush slurpee.Â
His Smartphone, with Caller ID, alerts him that he has an incoming call from the attorney of his soon-to-be ninth ex-wife, Sasha, a world-renowned supermodel.Â
He answers, listens quietly, nods slowly, then taps a key on the wireless device, ending the call.
Opening his phone’s mobile calendar, he enters the following appointment:
SUBJECT:Â Arbitration with barracuda
LOCATION:Â Main County Courthouse
START DATE:Â Thursday
START TIME:Â 1:00pm
END DATE:Â Thursday
END TIME:Â 3:30pm
REMINDER:Â 1 Day
Putting away his phone, Mark knows that in a matter of mere moments all seven of his personal computers including Desktops, Notebooks, and NetBooks will have their respective calendars automatically synchronized with the calendar on his Smartphone. He also knows that should he modify this appointment from any of his personal computers, automatic synchronization will occur, including the calendar on his wireless device.
With an expression of confidence mixed with sweet satisfaction, Mark Marcus returns his attention to his Arctic Rush.
