Hello My Fellow Media Playing Moguls,

If ever you wish to repair, delete, or re-index the Windows Media Player 11 Library cache on your Windows computer, do the following:

1.
Make sure you are logged into Windows with Administrative privileges.

2.
Set Windows Explorer to show hidden Files and Folders.

3.
Browse to
“C:\Documents and Settings\**Username**\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\”.  Here you will see several files beginning with “CurrentDatabase_***.wmdb” & “LocalMLS_*.wmdb”.  These are the cache files for the Windows Media Player 11 Library.

4.
To repair the Library or have Windows Media Player 11 re-index your media, simply delete all of these files.

That’s all there is to it.
